Nalamdana’s Thendral Community Radio bags Third Prize (all India) under the Community Engagement Category among hundreds of other national community radio stations.

R.Jeevanandham attended the National Conference on Community Radio at New Delhi from March 18th to 21st 2016. The area of focus for the 6th National CR Sammelan was Community Radio in India: Towards Diversity and Sustainability.

On the first day, our Thendral CR received the Third Prize award from the Honorable Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India, Shri Arun Jaitley. As part of the award, Thendral CR was awarded Rs.20,000 from the Ministry.  The forum also provided the opportunity to share Thendral CR’s exciting work with other community radio executives and staff members in attendance.
